Clay Schwartz
Clay has been in the machining field for many years. He started in 1986 as an apprentice at Swift Machine & Welding in Swift Current and achieved journeyman status there.
He then started Thor Welding and Machine with a partner in 1995 and Co/operated this business until 1997 when he decided to move back to the family farm and run a small machine shop while doing so.
In 2002 he began working in the Engineering and Design Lab at the Semiarid Prairie Agricultural Research Centre (SPARC) in Swift Current. The engineering program closed in 2012 and Clay decided to move his small farm machine shop (CS Machine) into the city of Swift Current. He took over the Swift Machine and Welding shop at that time.
In June of 2015 Darren Jensen joined forces with Clay and the business name was changed to C & D Machining and Welding Ltd.
They moved the business in 2016 to a brand new shop at 75 Alexander Drive in Swift. C & D Machining and Welding Ltd. is going strong and growing rapidly to date.
